Ron Calderon

Mini biography: 

Ron Calderon is a research assistant working on projects with Dr. Braslow and Marcia Meldrum, PhD.  Ron assists in coding for the FSP/MHSA project and trains interns on the process of coding.  Also, Ron conducts interviews with out-of-state public officials for the Laura’s Law project that will aid the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health obtain data for assisted outpatient treatment.  Previously, Ron has worked with Dr. Bowen Chung in the BRICH randomized study, where by he interviewed various mental health clients in Los Angeles.  Aside from research, Ron is a tutor for a non-profit organization that provides services to foster children within the Los Angles area.  He shares his experience and provides academic insight to underrepresented foster youth in the educational system.  Ron has a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from UCLA and is currently developing his research skills/experience in order to pursue and apply to PhD programs within metal health in the next coming years.
